Spring is an abundant time here in the Pacific Northwest and there are new delicious greens popping up every day. Imagine being able to walk through the woods in the same way you would walk through the grocery store. In this talk local herbalist and wildcrafter, Rachael Witt, will help you learn how to identify local edible plants, ethical techniques for harvesting them, and how to prepare these plants as food. Learning to connect with your environment in this way helps to increase the diversity in the food you consume, creates a sense of freedom from the grocery store, and cultivates a relationship with the living world around you.
