As winter days dwindle on, we sit and eagerly wait for the first sprouts of spring. What appears as a bare winter forest, is indeed an abundance of plant medicine. Come join Rachael and QuietHeart Wilderness School as we learn about winter-time harvests and local plant medicine. In this class we will be discussing and working with roots, buds, barks, conifer leaves and lichens.
Participants will learn folklore and preparation of many common evergreen plants and lichens that we pass by every day. We will make both internal and external remedies that participants can go home with as well as detailed handouts covering preparation of herbal remedies, ethical harvesting and further resources.
This class is intended to deepen your connection to the plant world at a time when we think of plants being at rest. It will help you sharpen your senses through observation and connection with natural cycles of plants.
