Wild Botanicals; Digestive Gusto Medicine

Wild Botanicals is a series of classes created on the basis of the harvest season in Snoqualmie Valley. Classes are in-person, outside and within the ecosystem of the plant(s). Students will learn botanical ID, look alikes, growth habits and harvesting ethics, plant processing and preparations. We will work with both wild and cultivated plants with edible and/or medicinal uses based on the class theme. Students are encouraged to bring their own in-field medicine making materials to experience the full process of field to kitchen medicine.

DIGESTIVE GUSTO Medicine

One of the best ways to support your immune system is to support your digestive system. The digestive system can be supported by an assortment of plants that range in flavor and textures. Come join us for a deep dive into plants that support the various complaints and strengths of the digestive system. Botanicals may include digestive bitters such as oregon grape root, dandelion and burdock; pungent carminatives such as fennel, mints, and lovage; inulin rich prebiotics such as jerusalem artichoke and elecampane.
