Let us talk about fermentations. Let us ferment with herbs. Let us harvest the bounty of the season. Let us use herbal fermentations to nourish and strengthen. Let us enjoy the delicious tastes of food as medicine!

Join Rachael for a garden harvest and wild food wander, followed by making an herbal ferment. In this class, we will discuss various fermentation processes, identify and harvest herbs and wild plants to incorporate, and then make a ferment to take home. We will focus on making kimchi and sauerkrauts, while demonstrating other fermentations such as achars, hot sauces, sodas, kombuchas and more.

Learn ways of restoring your gut flora while incorporating the nutritional richness of herbs!

Location: The Highlands Homestead, Duvall, WA

Tuition: $45 (BYOJ **bring your own jar)

Open to ages 13 and up (10-12 with an adult).
